Setup: Connecting Your Data
A quick guide on how to connect your data to Avid
One of the biggest challenges nonprofits face is scattered data. Your CRM, email platform, ad tools, and analytics systems all hold crucial insights, but they rarely talk to each other—at least, not well.
Avid solves this by seamlessly integrating with all your fundraising tools, pulling your data together into one central hub. This gives you a clear, real-time picture of what’s working and what’s not in your fundraising efforts.
Connecting Your Tools in Avid
To get started, you need to connect your tools. Here’s how:
Step 1: Access Your Organization Settings
-
Click the gear icon in the left-hand navigation to open Settings.
-
Navigate to the Connections tab. This is where you’ll manage all the tools linked to your Avid account.
Step 2: Add a New Connection
-
Click the Add button.
-
Choose System to see a list of platforms Avid integrates with.
-
Search or scroll through the list to find your tools.
-
Click on a tool to see step-by-step connection instructions.
-
Depending on the tool, you may need an API key or login authentication.
-
Follow the prompts, and Avid will guide you through the process.
Step 3: Uploading Data Manually (If No Direct Integration)
If your tool isn’t listed yet, let us know, and we may add it to our roadmap. In the meantime, you can still get your data into Avid:
-
Upload a Data File: Click Upload, then drag and drop your file.
-
Automate Data Transfers via SFTP:
-
Set up an automatic pull from an SFTP server to sync data daily.
-
Use an Avid-hosted secure SFTP to pull in data from external tools.
-
The Power of a Unified Data Hub
Once all your systems are connected, Avid consolidates your data, eliminating silos and giving you a full view of your fundraising performance. With this clarity, you can make data-driven decisions that push your results up and to the right.
