Release Notes: June 2025
The Latest Updates to Avid from June 2025
Add Filters to Your Pathways
This is a big update! When you create a pathway—connecting to Facebook or pushing audiences to your email tool—you can now set filters that will apply to all audiences that you’re syncing.
So if you have a subset of contacts on a “Do Not Email” list or should never be targeted with ads, you can set a filter to remove them automatically. This will give you cleaner audiences, ensure better communications, and potentially even lift you ad performance.
Other use cases for these filters could include:
- Filtering out employees, staff, and board members.
- Excluding program participant contacts from your fundraising ad campaigns
- Filtering out donors who only give to a specific program or sub-brand of your organization
- Auto-excluding recent donors from being re-enrolled in your ad campaigns right away
While we were at it, we also overhauled the Avid Pathways confirmation page to provide clarity about your audience definitions and Advanced Feature capabilities.

Avid is Getting Faster (Again!)
Last month, Avid got a nice speed enhancement. This month, it’s even faster.
In particular, you may notice that report filters function faster than before. Our engineering team is always hard at work to find ways to make your experience in Avid better and better.
Along with this, we’ve rolled out major technical upgrade to Avid’s infrastructure (using Vue3, if you’re curious). This will continue to make Avid better performing, and comes with security improvements as well.
New Integrations!
We’ve just launched a brand new integration with Microsoft Advertising (aka, Bing).
This integration will let you sync data and audiences to Microsoft Advertising to deliver more targeted and robust ads for your campaigns.
We also now integrate directly with Donor Direct Studio Enterprise, giving greater access to Avid's fundraising intelligence for many faith-based nonprofits.
Avid also now integrates with DonorDock, a CRM that facilitates donor management, donor outreach, and online giving, and even event management.
Create Audiences Based on Files and Data Sets
When you build a new audience in Avid Pathways, you're audience criteria can now reference specific files and data sets.
For example, let’s say you uploaded a list of people who attended an event. You could create an audience that says “Exclude everyone who is the Event Attendee” file. Use this for more targeted outreach, suppression lists, ad targeting lists, and more.
Audience Filters Using Contact Fields Updated to Look for Individuals
Contact-level audience filters (think mobile phone numbers, email addresses, etc.) have been updated to filter by the individual, not the household.
This seemingly small change can have a big impact—ensuring that your filters target the exact individual and not just the overall household the contact is associated with.
