How to Generate a Presentation in Avid
1. Navigate to the Insights Tool
Start by opening Insights in Avid. This is where all your reports live. You have two options for generating a presentation:

From an individual report: Open any report and click Generate Presentation to download slides for that specific data set.

From the Insights overview page: Click Generate Presentation to build a custom presentation from multiple reports.
2. Select Your Reports
Once you’re in the Presentation Generator, you’ll see a list of all available reports. You can:

Scroll through the list or use the search bar to find a specific report.

Click on the reports you want to include, and they’ll move into your presentation queue.

Arrange the order of the slides to match the flow of your meeting.
3. Apply Filters for Customization
Before generating your slides, you can apply filters to tailor the data:

Segment by donor type (e.g., major donors vs. broad-based donors).

Select a specific time period (e.g., last six months).

Drill down into campaign performance or giving trends.
4. Download Your Presentation
Once everything is set, click Download PowerPoint. Avid will generate a fully formatted presentation, complete with:

Your organization’s branding (if set up in your profile).

Headers and section dividers for easy navigation.

Pre-populated charts with insights on year-over-year or period-over-period changes.
If you have recurring meetings that require the same data, you can also save the presentation as a template for future use.
5. Review & Finalize
Avid includes every relevant slide, so you might get more than you need—that’s okay! Simply remove the unnecessary slides and finalize your deck in PowerPoint before sharing.
